THE BOB FOX QUARTET
Bob Fox, pianist and prolific composer, was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. Bob earned degrees in Jazz Piano Performance from Berklee College and the University of Miami. He had a long tenure with Stanley Turrentine and has played with many of the greats, including Ira Sullivan, Eddie Harris, James Moody, Eddie Daniels, Bobby Shew, and many others.
Bob was the original pianist and music director for two “Straight Up” CDs – “Live Jazz in the Desert” (1996) which featured Bob along with Arlen Asher (Reeds), John Belzaguy (Bass), Michael Morreale (Trumpet), and John Trentacosta (Drums) and “No Need for Words” (2002) featuring Bob with Arlen Asher, David Parlato, Michael Morreale, and John Trentacosta.
In 2003, Bob composed three arrangements and performed on Arlen Asher’s CD entitled “Another Spring”. He was awarded two New Mexico Music Awards in 2003 for Best Instrumental Performance and Best Musical Production in the Jazz category.
Bob has been a Santa Fe resident since 1993 and has been appearing as a vocal accompanist.
