DAVID PARLATO, bassist, composer, educator, was born and raised in a musical family in Los Angeles.
Taking after his father, he began his musical life as a trumpet player. At age nineteen, he began to play the bass. He studied classical double bass with Nathaniel Gangursky and jazz bass with Monty Budwig. As a free-lance musician in Los Angeles, he was very active in all facets of the music business (recording, live television, concert and club dates). He also began a gratifying teaching career taking on private students on both electric and acoustic bass. He has performed and recorded with such popular artists as Barbra Streisand, Henry Mancini, Nelson Riddle, Helen Reddy, Burt Bacharach, Andy Williams, Peter Allen, Jerry Lee Lewis, Glen Campbell, Liza Minelli, Paul Williams and Frank Zappa. He has worked with numerous jazz artists including Don Ellis, Bud Shank, Don Menza, Bobby Shew, John Klemmer, Frank Strazerri, Warne Marsh, Lee Konitz, James Moody, Kenny Davern, Gabor Szabo, Paul Horn, Shelly Manne, Frank Morgan, Herb Ellis, Doug Lawrence, Mose Allison, Greg Abate, Roger Kellaway and Buddy Rich.
 
MICHAEL ANTHONY was born in Brooklyn and moved to LA when he was 14. There he began studying the guitar. His main guitar mentors are Jimmy Wyble, Howard Roberts, Joe Pass and Tommy Tedesco. Michael worked in the LA recording studios from the early 1960's to 1980.  His Jazz credits include: Gil Evans (accompanying Miles Davis at the Monterey Jazz Festival), Neil Hefty, Quincy Jones, Bobby Shew, Claire Fischer, Hubert Laws and Louie Belson. Michael has recorded and performed with Tony Bennett, Nelson Riddle, Henry Mancini, Johnny Mandel, The Beach Boys, Peggy Lee, Dianna Ross (“Do You Know Where You're Going To”, Theme from Mahogany), Barbara Streisand and the LA Philharmonic under Zuben Meta. Movie and TV Productions include: Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid (“Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head”), The Carol Burnett Show, The Flintstones, Happy Days and New York, New York. Michael moved to New Mexico in 1980. He has been teaching Jazz Guitar Studies for UNM since 1997 and contributed to the Manzano High School Guitar Program for 15 years. In 2014 Michael received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the New Mexico Music Awards.
